South Island Day 4 : 27 March 2018
Rain, clearing, 20•C
We had very quiet day today, mainly due to the weather, but also because we had a few things to catch up on.
The day started with a wind storm waking us up at 3:30am, which only died down when the rain started at 6am. So sunrise was a washout.
We got out of bed and had breakfast at 9am, and then drove to the Hermitage at 11am to use their wifi and electrical sockets. We caught up on blogs and processing photos, grabbed some lunch and afternoon tea, and headed back to camp just as the rain was easing off at 4pm.
We relaxed for a bit then had tea, then out to shoot the sunset at the bridge at Hooker Corner, and back to camp at 8pm, in time for the wind to start up again.
So not a photography day but I was happy to get a few shots of the sunset.
