Landscape Astrophotography 101
Location: Te Awanga
Date: Thursday 27 June, 2019
Cost: $200 per person
Come join me for my Landscape Astrophotography 101 workshop, and learn all you need to know about shooting landscape astrophotography.
The workshop will cover the theory side of astrophotography, a lot of information about the Milky Way and how it appears in our night sky, and experience shooting the Milky Way in a great location only a short drive from Napier and Hastings.
The format for the workshop is as follows:
27 June 2019:
Meet at the Te Awanga Community hall and I will teach you all you need to know about shooting the Milky Way and the stars, including camera settings and information about where to see the Milky Way in the sky at various times of the year.
Head out and walk about 400m to our shooting location. If the sky is clear of clouds we will be treated to a view of the Milky Way rising in the east over Cape Kidnappers and the Maraetotara River.
If the weather is not suitable on the 27th then we will reconvene on 30 June or 2 July to put the theory into practice. Unfortunately as this is an outdoor shoot and is completely weather dependent I can’t guarantee that the conditions will yield photos during the workshop, but you will still come away with all the information necessary to return to this location and shoot the Milky Way at a later date when the weather is suitable.
You will also need to provide all of your own photography equipment for the shoot, but when you register your interest in this workshop I will send you through a list of what you will need to bring with you on the night.
I have a maximum of 12 spaces available on this workshop, and I need a minimum of 8 people to make it viable.
If you are interested in joining me on this workshop please send me an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
